About the event

Elite Travel Foundation Presents: The Ultimate HBCU Tri - Tour VI, an unforgettable 4-day, 3-night travel experience designed specifically for high school students grade 9th - 12th. 

This enriching journey is an opportunity for students to explore mutliple campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (also known as HBCUs) in a single day for 4 days.

Package Highlights: 

- Dates: 9/15/2024 - 9/18/2024 

- Price: $800 per person 

- Group: 50 High School Students 

- Chaperone Ratio: 1 Chaperone for every 15 Students

Inclusions: 

- Transportation: Our group will travel in comfort with round-trip transportation via charter bus, ensuring a smooth and safe journey to our destination.  

- Accommodation: Students will stay in comfortable, youth-friendly hotels, providing a welcoming atmosphere for relaxation and camaraderie after a day of exploration. 

- Meals: Students will enjoy breakfast (at hotel) and lunch (on-campus) daily, carefully curated to fuel each adventure and keep students energized throughout your trip. 

*Dinner will be at the expense of each participant and is estimated at about $80 per student (or $20 per day). **We manage fundraising efforts for out of pocket expenses not covered in tour package. 

Proposed Itinerary: 

- Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Dinner - Our group will settle in at our hotel, meet your fellow travelers, and kick off the journey with a welcoming dinner where you’ll learn more about the exciting days ahead.  

- Day 2: HBCU Campus Tour(s): Students will spend 1-2 hours on campus during both the morning and afternoon sessions, gaining insights into the rich history, admissions procedures, and degree offerings at 1 to 2 selected HBCUs each day (and, in some instances, up to 3 tours may be scheduled in a single day). This presents an excellent opportunity to visit multiple campuses in one day and experience the dynamic communities of HBCUs. 

Following our morning tour(s), the group will enjoy lunch in the dining hall or café, allowing students to interact with current college students and gather valuable information about campus life before heading out to our new hotel in a neighboring city and/or state. 

- Day 3: HBCU Campus Tour(s) - Students will spend 1-2 hours on campus during both the morning and afternoon sessions, gaining insights into the rich history, admissions procedures, and degree offerings at 1 to 2 selected HBCUs each day (and, in some instances, up to 3 tours may be scheduled in a single day). 

Following our morning tour(s), the group will enjoy lunch in the dining hall or café, allowing students to interact with current college students and gather valuable information about campus life before heading out to our new hotel in a neighboring city and/or state. 

-Day 4: Reflection, HBCU Campus Tour(s) & Departure - Students will spend the morning reflecting on your experiences, sharing insights with your peers, and prepare for our final day together.

Students will spend 1-2 hours on campus during both the morning and afternoon sessions, gaining insights into the rich history, admissions procedures, and degree offerings at 1 to 2 selected HBCUs each day (and, in some instances, up to 3 tours may be scheduled in a single day). 

Following our morning tour(s), the group will enjoy lunch in the dining hall or café, allowing students to interact with current college students and gather valuable information about campus life before returning home.

The HBCU Tour Package includes: Transportation, Comfortable Hotel Accommodations (1 bed per student), Breakfast and Lunch daily, On-campus tours to 4 or more college/university campuses, Qualified Chaperones (1:15 ratio), an Elite Travel Foundation Financial Tool Kit with access to over $200k in Scholarships and a Mandatory parent and student orientation.

3. How often do you offer College tours?

We offer College tours to HBCUs each Fall, typically during September and October. Our Spring tour availability is based on demand each school year and the number of students we have from our Fall waiting list. We also offer Custom College tours for schools or organizations that wish to provide a bus trip for their scholars. Our custom tours ensure that students are well-informed, socially impacted, and inspired to begin planning for their futures immediately. 4. Can parents attend the tour?

While we encourage parental involvement, we highly recommend that parents consider traveling as chaperones to allow your child to have a "real-life" on-campus experience, mirroring what life will be like after high school. Parents with an interest to join the tour should be prepared for a hands-off experience during the tour to ensure your child gains the most from this opportunity. *Kindly note that all adults interested in attending the tour as chaperones must undergo a background check and interview process.
